The Ohio Academy of Science is currently accepting applications for an exciting interdisciplinary student project focused on addressing a real-world problem created by the rapid growth of Ohio’s data center industry.
Teams of 4–6 undergraduate and graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds will work together to identify a specific problem and develop a solution. Because these challenges are complex, the goal is to bring together students from different fields and perspectives.
We are hoping to center our team around population and community health, and we are looking for students from a variety of disciplines who are interested in contributing their expertise and perspective to the project.
The challenge specific and timeline are detailed here.
Application Deadline: Monday, September 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET
