LaunchpadOSU is a series of immersive innovation experiences designed to bring students from across disciplines together to tackle real-world challenges, form teams, develop ideas, and build solutions.

Students do not need to have entrepreneurial experience, a business idea, or even a team to participate. We’re intentionally bringing together students with different backgrounds, interests, and perspectives because some of the best ideas happen when people who think differently work together.

🚀 THREE FALL OPPORTUNITIES

 

ohBUILDS — Powered by Whop
📅 September 11–12

A fast-paced, cross-campus building challenge hosted in partnership with Miami University and Case Western Reserve University.

Students will kick things off Friday evening with dinner, team formation, and an introduction to the challenge before diving into a full day of building on Saturday. Coaches and mentors will support teams throughout the experience, culminating in final pitches, prizes, and an Ohio State vs. Texas football watch party at the Keenan Center.

 

LaunchpadOSU — Fall Activation #1
📅 Saturday, October 3 | Beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Students will work in teams to explore a real-world challenge, develop ideas, learn from mentors and founders, and pitch creative solutions — all while building their problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills.

 

LaunchpadOSU — Fall Activation #2
📅 October 21–22 | 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Another opportunity for students to step outside their discipline, meet new people, explore an emerging challenge, and turn an idea into something tangible.

 

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

Any student who is curious and willing to build.

These experiences are intentionally interdisciplinary, so students from engineering, business, medicine, agriculture, the arts, education, public policy, and every other area of study are encouraged to participate.

Students can come to:

  • Meet peers outside their major
  • Work on real-world challenges
  • Learn from founders, mentors, and industry professionals
  • Develop and test new ideas
  • Build collaboration and leadership skills
  • Explore entrepreneurship without needing to consider themselves “entrepreneurs”
  • Gain hands-on experience and expand their network
