What is Data I/O
Data I/O is a day-long hackathon where teams of 2-4 tackle the world of data. Using data visualization, statistics, AI/ML, and other technologies, students will draw valuable insights and present them to a board of judges. Datasets will be provided by our sponsors, who will also serve as the main judges. These sponsor judges will award prizes to the teams they believe best solved the problem they presented. In addition to first, second, and third place, there will be prizes awarded for the best visualizations and the most insightful solutions for each sponsored challenge. Throughout the event, mentors will be available to guide teams, offering an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced professionals. Data/IO is not just a competition; it’s a chance to dive deep into data science, collaborate with peers and industry leaders, and develop skills that extend beyond the scope of traditional case competitions or hackathons.
