The Community, Access, Retention, and Empowerment Office (CARE) plays a unique role in strategic enrollment planning, supporting student persistence in STEM, and providing workforce readiness and community engagement opportunities for staff and faculty. The CARE Office was developed to support the University’s land-grant mission, shared values and the College of Engineering’s commitment to creating an environment where everyone thrives.
The CARE Mission: Through shared responsibility and collaboration with university and college-wide partners, we advance strategic priorities by:
- integrating the University’s mission and shared values into the daily operations of the college
- supporting student motivation for entering and persisting in engineering, architecture, and planning
- implementing inclusive and equity-centered initiatives for all students, staff and faculty
