Practical things in tech I know now and wish I knew in college

Judy graduated from Wayne State University in May 2017 with a B.S. in Computer Science, and is currently a software developer for Nexient since October 2017. Much of her work thus far has been on back-end development and working with legacy applications, with proficiency in C++ and competence in several other languages and technologies. Judy is always looking for ways to support and inspire students pursuing a career in technology and is also an aspiring leader. In her spare time, Judy partakes in a diverse array of hobbies including cooking, miniature dollhouses, gardening, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Hacking Bluetooth for Fun and Profit

Prof. Zhiqiang Lin will introduce the security and privacy issues surrounding Bluetooth protocols and implementations. Participants will spend most of their time in a hands-on activity involving capturing, analyzing, and decrypting Bluetooth packets.

Participants will also be introduced to the exploreCSR program @ OSU (supported by Google Research), which encourages undergraduates -- especially students from underrepresented groups -- to get involved in CS research; exploreCSR will have several events throughout the year.
